The Six Mile Regional Library District (SMRLD) is proud to provide high-quality service for all ages. Teen services focuses on providing programs, materials, and research help for ages 12-18. Youth services focuses on children 12 and under. See the Kids page for more information.

Chestnut Health Systems Mobile Unit at SMRLD
Every 4th Wednesday of the Month from 1 – 3 PM at 2001 Delmar Ave
Health care for babies, kids, and adults Need help with substance use or mental health concerns? They can make a referral.

Donate your old bike!
Drop off bicycles throughout the month of May at the Johnson Road Library, 2145 Johnson Rd
The library is partnering with Madison County Transit to collect any and all bicycles! The bikes are donated to BWorks which is  an organization that helps kids earn a free bike while teaching them about bicycle safety and maintenance. Through the program kids learn problem-solving, teamwork, and independence, and at the end, they earn their own bike, helmet, light, and lock.

Therapy Dog on Duty

Pawsitivity Counts presented by NAMI Southwest Illinois will be on hand with a trained therapy dog. All ages, including adults, are welcome to take advantage of the love of a friendly dog!
