Miss Kuenstler bestowed an everlasting legacy gift to the library for the purchase of reading materials. Please join us in celebrating Miss Kuenstler’s life and love of literacy and the library. Reading materials purchased with the proceeds from the Helen R. Kuenstler Trust can be identified by a book plate designed in her honor near the front of the book.

We enjoyed hearing stories of Miss Kuenstler’s lasting impact on her family, friends, and students.
Helen Kuenstler Tribute by Robert Olen Butler: American fiction writer and former student of Miss Kuenstler. His short-story collection A Good Scent from a Strange Mountain was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 1993.
