Clean Air Repository
Goal: to provide information to the public to educate the residents of Granite City, Mitchell, and Pontoon Beach on the hazards of various pollutants created by nearby industries.
The Clean Air Repository provides resources concerning air permits and various agencies involved in such permits.
Print materials are available through either library location. Some subject terms to use in identifying materials include: clean air, air pollution, emissions, particle pollution, and others. A research librarian is usually on duty and happy to help you in your search. Additionally, the Six Mile Regional Library District is a member of SHARE, an online consortium of more than 450 libraries located in Southern Illinois; if we don’t have it, we can get it for you. Provides a forum for local governments of the bi-state St. Louis area to work together to solve problems that cross jurisdictional boundaries. The geographic region that East-West Gateway has served since 1965 is the 4,500 square miles encompassed by the City of St. Louis, Franklin, Jefferson, St. Charles, and St. Louis counties in Missouri; Madison, Monroe, and St. Clair counties in Illinois.
