Card Catalog/Interlibrary Loan
The Six Mile Regional Library District is a member of the Illinois Heartland Library System with access to an automated card catalog. This web catalog contains the holdings of SMRLD plus many other libraries in the Illinois Heartland System. In the web catalog, you can browse material holdings, view your library account, renew materials or request an item from another library to be delivered to SMRLD for pickup! To begin searching, please head over to our online catalog and login by clicking My Account > Login / Register. Have your library card number ready. Your default password is the last four digits of the phone number you gave the library. Once signed in, the password can be changed by going to My Account > My Record and clicking Change Logon. You can also setup a username that is much easier to remember than your library card number.
In addition, books and other materials may often be borrowed from other libraries throughout Illinois and elsewhere. Ask the reference librarian for more details.
Library Service for Non-Residents
Because the library is financially supported by the taxes paid by residents of the Six Mile Regional Library District, it is necessary to charge persons living outside the library district a fee for a library card.
